Business as usual at Sitevi, despite the wine industry crisis

hristophe Lecarpentier is delighted with his first Sitevi. After talking with many exhibitors, the new director of the Comexposium group’s farming equipment and construction division claims, “the wine industry crisis has not stopped business at the exhibition”.
Aside from some exhibitors, mainly nursery operators and farming supply distributors, most of the industry suppliers were indeed relieved. The vitality of the northern and international wine regions compensated for challenging situations in Languedoc and Bordeaux.
“Plans have come to a standstill in Bordeaux, but I sold two machines to winegrowers in Alsace and Provence”, confirms Jaufré Bordes, director of Ever France. “They will be delivered next week”. Many visitors stopped in front of his flotation pump Enolmix. “Cooling tanks before the start of fermentation is too expensive and uses too much tank space”, he explains. Several visitors also came seeking information about physical acidification for wines.
Since its conference on the contribution of modelling to vine water stress management, the ITK stand was constantly full. “We have had a lot of questions about management of grass cover”, admits business developer Philippe Depré.
Christophe Lecarpentier confirms that international visitor attendance was up, “with delegations from Italy, Spain, Hungary, Israel, Algeria, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and China”. And he announced the dates of the next exhibition, from 25 to 27 November 2025.
