onated by winegrowers, merchants, collectors and journalists, the 300 lots auctioned by the iDealwine website in the first half of April raised 75,868 euros. The money will go entirely to Ukraine Amitié, a humanitarian association founded in 2014 following Russia's invasion of Crimea that provides aid to civilian populations affected by the latest invasion that began on 24 February 2022.

After launching an appeal for solidarity at the end of February, “I was delighted by the response of my peers regarding aid donated to Ukraine. This is a real token of civic support”, says Laurent Fortin, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in New Aquitaine and director of Château Dauzac. The 1855-classified Margaux Grand Cru received lots from across France, including Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhone Valley, Champagne and the Loire Valley. Due to the auctions’ popularity, “the amounts exceeded estimates” adds Fortin, who centralised the lots in Margaux, before sending them to the iDealwine storage site.
