Bourg en Bresse: Results of the Trophée des Sept Ceps published, a competition for wine of the Mont-Blanc area

he tenth Trophée des Sept Ceps, appreciating wines of the Mont-Blanc area, was awarded on Saturday the 8 November 2008 in Bourg en Bresse. It is a small competition without fuss; the organisers aim “to reward authentic products, fruits of refined wine-growing with human scale.”
41 producers representing 7 terroirs in France, Switzerland and Italy (Bugey, Jura, Savoie, Genève, Vaud, Valais, Neuchâtel and Val d’Aoste) have offered 139 samples to a jury of 80 wine connoisseurs and wine and catering experts, under the lead of Georges Pertuiset, former President of the Sommellerie Français.

The technical direction of the competition was assured by Yves Paquier.
