word of warning: only 200 copies of this limited edition Champagne – and its singular packaging – are being released. As part of its collaboration with the artistic studio Pangea, Canard-Duchêne (Alain Thiénot group) has unveiled a special ‘capsule’ edition in which the house’s signature Léonie Iconic label “is delicately wrapped by hand in a scarf using the Japanese furoshiki technique, the art of folding and tying fabric. The scarf becomes both foldable bag and case”, the company notes in a press release.

The Pangea duo – artists Laetitia Rouget and Colombine Jubert – has been working with Canard-Duchêne since last May. Their latest creation brings together “a setting, a scarf, a ribbon and a vibrant piece of wall art rendered in fabric and inspired by Pangea’s Equilibrium artwork”. Beyond its visual impact, the duo embraces “a more responsible approach to packaging by offering endless possibilities for re-use”, the release adds.

The new limited edition forms part of an ongoing artistic partnership with the pair, who previously designed the Equilibrium gift set. Its colours and aesthetic have directly inspired the scarf encasing the 200 bottles of Léonie Iconic. Priced at €49, the set is available at Canard-Duchêne’s Domaine de Ludes estate and through the company’s website.
