Mika offers a gravity-defying reinterpretation of Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne bubbles
hen the musician and singer turned artist and one of Champagne’s youngest brands (celebrating 50 years in 2026) come together, “bubbles leave Earth and continue their journey into a surrealist world”, promises a press statement announcing the artist’s collaboration on the packaging of the iconic Réserve Exclusive Brut by Nicolas Feuillatte.
“Like bubbles, bodies and dreamlike objects become light – unknown planets, conductor cosmonaut, satellite heart… - because the rule is that there is no rule”, adds the description of this “team effort”. The artist and Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte cellar master Guillaume Roffiaen shared their experiences to create this expression of effervescence by Mika. “For the Réserve Exclusive Brut label, I refer to simplexity”, Roffiaen told the designer.
The result is a silk-screen-printed bottle that recreates the colourful pop space and is available online in France and abroad (Italy, England, Germany, Canada) as a limited edition Champagne retailing for €42. The space is one the artist is particularly fond of, both visually and for his music, “when things feel like they defy gravity and are unexpected and free”.
