Will ’Oenojet’ become the next Interflora for wine?
O

enojet is a newly established company based in Provence. Its team of three is headed up by Sébastien Tamagno, its founding director. It recently launched a new service on the internet: wine deliveries for friends and family along similar lines to flower deliveries, but targeted more at men.

The system is extremely straightforward: the customer enters details on the website about the locality he/she wants the wine delivered to and a choice of products appears depending on the range offered by the nearest local wine merchant. The order is processed and the customer receives an e-mail confirming that the wine merchant is handling it. In addition to the price of the wine, the customer pays a standard charge of €12 including VAT to cover delivery and processing costs. Orders before 3pm are delivered on the same day. Champagne, rosé and white wines are delivered chilled.

The wine merchant must make sure that he has the wines in stock and deliver the wines himself. He specifies his delivery days and the areas he is prepared to deliver to.
