At the heart of Angers’ competitive cluster specialising in plant production, the ESA group, which ranks first in French agricultural engineering education, proposes over 50 courses of study offering up to 6 years of higher education in the fields of agriculture, viticulture, food and the environment.

Every year, 3,000 students benefit from learning methods that combine field experience and the teaching of foundation courses constantly keeping up with innovation in scientific and technical fields.


Its location in a green open space close to Angers city centre makes ESA an outstanding environment in which to study.


For those students interested in professional activities with a global dimension, the ESA group offers several pathways in a range of subjects including agriculture, viticulture and animal farming, horticulture and landscaping, the food industry, agro-business, the environment and national planning.

Always wishing to cater for corporate needs, the ESA group offers degree courses and learning strategies that meet companies’ requirements: engineering degrees, Master’s degrees, 4-year degrees in business and management, vocational honour’s degrees, BTS (2-year vocational training certificate). Each student can choose the appropriate track and the learning method best fitted to his/her expectations: initial training, apprenticeship (sandwich course), continuing education or distance learning.


The ESA group has implemented a learning policy with a strong focus on international exchanges. It has developed many partnerships with companies and universities both in France and overseas (135 in 38 countries).


ESA offers international degree courses and joint degrees, but all students also have the opportunity to carry out internships or study periods overseas.


Moreover, the ESA group plays host to some 300 international students and a large number of visiting lecturers every year, thus encouraging enriching intercultural experiences.


The ESA group has both a strong presence in the region, as well as powerful national and international networks.
