The year is off to a good start for French wines with the announcement of Wine Paris and Vinexpo's intention to create a joint venture focusing on organising trade events for wines and spirits. The two trade exhibitions, whose 2020 event will be held concurrently in February this year, are giving themselves eight months to create a company owned equally by Wine Paris (organised by Comexposium, whose shareholders are the CCI and Crédit Agricole bank) and Vinexpo (whose shareholder is the Bordeaux CCI).

The group is destined to become a French events behemoth and will build on its 10 existing events (Wine Paris, World Wine Meetings Global, World Bulk Wine Exhibition Amsterdam and Asia, Vinexpo, Vinexpo Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, New York and Vinexpo Explorer).
