1,800 exhibitors (including 300 newcomers) have signed up for Wine Paris 2020, due to take place from 10 to 12 February 2020. “With the number of winegrowers, co-operatives and trading companies on the increase and the show’s collective dimension strengthened, the prospects for WINE PARIS 2020 are excellent,” said Comexposium in a statement. The organisers point to greater commitment by regions that had kept a low profile in 2019: Champagne, Burgundy and Alsace will have “two to three times more exhibitors”, stated the release. Also, Wine Paris has successfully created an international opening by improving the diversity of exhibitor origins. Algeria, Argentina, Croatia, Lebanon and South Africa will attend in number and consolidate presence by Spanish, Italian and Portuguese delegations that were already highly visible in 2019.

30,000 visitors expected

In terms of visitors, Wine Paris aims to attract some 30,000 visitors, 35% from outside France. The exhibition has introduced a “Wine Match” service for connecting buyers and exhibitors via the internet. It is rolling out a special “International Hosted Buyers” programme to ensure attendance by international importers, as well as buyers from Asian and developing markets.
