Promoting women implies highlighting what they do and this was the intention of Women Do Wine, an international association of women working in the wine industry, by awarding its first trophies. It also spared a thought for all those women who work hard in the shadows, especially vineyard and winery employees.

The association also awarded a vinegar award, an incentive award for improving the representation of women in the Michelin Guide.
