After the appointment last November of Franck Coste at the helm of Champagne Chanoine Frères, it is now François Van Aal's turn to be chosen as the new chairman of Champagne Lanson. He also replaces Philippe Baijot, who had held this position since 2006 but had decided to retire.

23 years with Rémy Cointreau

After studying at the North Eastern University in Boston (U.S.A), then the Université de Dauphine (Paris), François Van Aal began his career in advertising with J. Walter Thomson, then with Tag-Heuer. In 1994, he joined the French family group Rémy-Cointreau Champagnes & Spirits, where he worked for 23 years in marketing, sales and profit centre management positions, for 7 years in the United States, then in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Lanson belongs to the Lanson BCC group of seven Champagne firms, created and managed by Champagne families.

François Van Aal used to work for the Rémy Cointreau group.
