“Adding a day to ProWein is on the cards”

What are the main new features at the 25th ProWein?

Marius Berlemann: For the first time this year, there will be a new area dedicated to the “craft” theme. At last year’s show, we asked our visitors if they were interested in the subject. We discovered that almost half of our 58,500 visitors are interested in craft products, irrespective of whether they are beers, spirits, ciders...

 

Exhibitors often talk about a waiting list to access the show. For the next events, will new halls be opened?

Our main source of price is that we have set a new record with 6,800 exhibitors. But our goal is not to become larger and larger without any concept. We value sustainable development. Our goal is to have a well structured platform that brings together all the key producers.

In addition, each exhibitor expects to receive a certain number of visitors. So we are working really hard to increase the influx of highly qualified professionals from all over the world. It's all about the right balance between the number of new exhibitors and visitors.

 

Will the trademark three-day formula for the show stand up to emerging criticism of an event that is becoming too dense and compact?

Of course, adding a day to ProWein is on the cards. However, there is currently such a diverse range of opinions that there is no majority to decide. But you can be sure that once there is a majority, we will be ready to move forward.
