The Maîtres Vignerons de la Presqu’île de Saint-Tropez have a new addition to their portfolio: Château Clémentine, located in Cuers, Var, otherwise known as the golden triangle of the Côtes-de-Provence wine region. “It belongs to the two sons of a co-operative wine grower from the Saint-Roch les Vignes winery, which is part of our group”, said marketing and communication manager Stéphanie Cottreau. “They asked to have their own wines and the winery has therefore fermented their grapes separately”.

10 private wineries and 4 co-operatives

Château Clémentine joins the nine private wineries and four co-operatives whose wines are already distributed by the Maîtres Vignerons. The group's sales reached 3.6 million bottles in 2017 and are constantly on the rise: +20% over the last three years and +14% between 2016 and 2017. Wholesalers account for 50% of volumes, exports for 40% and sales to private customers and local restaurants for 10%.

In export markets, the company has signed a partnership agreement with Gallo in the United States. “In conjunction with Gallo, we created the Fleur de Mer label, a rosé Côte-de-Provence, which is the only French wine distributed by Gallo in the USA”, adds Stéphanie Cottreau. The United States is the group’s primary export market.
