From June 14th to 18th of 2018, wharfs of Bordeaux are going to welcome the 11th edition of the Wine Fair and about thirty sailing boats for the Tall Ships Regatta.

More than a nod to history, coupling these two events annouces a major challenge for event planners. 1.5 to 2 million visitors are expected, it represents more than 3 times last year's attendance. The tasting will spread on 2 km all along the wharf and propose 80 AOC Bordeaux. Despite logistical and safety challenges, the staff intends to increase the level of services for the 20th anniversary of Bordeaux fête le vin. For instance, they will work on the restauration offer and welcome the Bordeaux Union of Grand Crus.

Following the tradition, the Tall Ships Regatta will be served with celebrations in the departure cities as Liverpool and in stage cities like Dublin. Indeed, Liverpool city hall invited the CIVB to organise a mini wine fair as part of its River festival, while Bordeaux will honour the four boys from Liverpool, the Beatles, during a concert.

Until these events, CIVB is preparing an intense start of the year with three wine fairs: in Quebec from August 31st to September 3rd, in Bruxelles from September 7th to 10th and in Hong Kong from October 26th to 29th.
