Diaries to the ready: Vinisud and Vinovision announce dates for 2018

Sunday April 09 2017 by Vitisphere

The Mediterranean wine show opens from February 18 to 20, 2018 at the Montpellier showground. The organisers have announced their decision to open once again on a Sunday, following initial trials this year. For its 14th show, Vinisud is expecting to attract 30,000 visitors and 1,650 exhibitors, a ratio of 18.8. The figures are more or less on a par with 2016 when 31,687 visitors attended and 1,700 exhibitors. The organisers have also stressed the strong international focus for the show in 2018 and are aiming for foreign visitor attendance to reach 32%. To achieve this, they will be working closely with the International Business Forum (FIA), organised concurrently by Sud de France. The synergy between the two shows, which was trialled in 2017, helped bring 365 international buyers to the event.

Vinovision, dedicated to wines from the northern regions of France, will take place slightly earlier, from February 12 to 14 at the Porte de Versailles showground in Paris. The choice of dates allows visitors to attend Vinisud, and the Salon des vins de Loire, scheduled to run from February 4 to 6, 2018.
