Sainte-Foy joins the Union des Côtes de Bordeaux

Blaye, Castillon, Cadillac, Francs and now Saint-Foy: the Union des Côtes de Bordeaux is not denying itself the pleasure of seeing a new member join the fold. The new membership, which was officially approved by the wine growers of Côtes de Bordeaux on April 28, is perceived as proof of the efficacy of collective promotion under one banner. The membership procedure for Sainte-Foy was launched 8 years and took a long time to complete because production specifications for the appellation had to be adapted. “We had to adapt to more radical production specifications and delineate a less extensive area”, explains Wilfrid Franc de Ferrière, chairman of the Sainte-Foy appellation.

The Côtes de Bordeaux organisation welcomes 30 new wine growers from Sainte-Foy covering 500 hectares and producing 10,000 hectolitres.
