With the objective of "becoming one of the world's top wine companies", Suntory Wine International Limited (SWI) has just made Donald Allen St. Pierre (46 years old) its senior adviser.  Since the end of 2012, Don St. Pierre Junior has been the Executive Chairman of ASC Fine Wines Holding Ltd (ASC), a company he founded in 1996 with his father, Don St. Pierre senior.  A leading foreign investor in China,  ASC is the go-to company when it comes to importing and distributing wines in China, which is the reason why Japanese group, Suntory purchased 70% of the family business in 2009.

Don St. Pierre Jr. (46 years old) will continue to serve on the board of ASC*, as well as advising the CEO (John Watkins) who wishes to "extend its leadership position in the distribution of imported wines, mineral water and wine accessories in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao," says a statement.   Expert on the Asian market, Don St. Pierre Jr. was one of the top speakers at the "The future for wine in China" conference which took place on 28 May at Vinexpo Asia Pacific (Hong Kong).
