Bordeaux Vinipro : a bi-annual fair and a permanent online presence

« At the fair’s entrance, you will find a box to drop your ties. As one would drop its holster and gun at a Saloon’s entrance, you will enter Vinipro unarmed this to better (re) discover the Wines of Bordeaux and the Sud-Ouest. »
An enthusiastic Xavier Planty, director of Château Guiraud (Sauternes), shows by this statement how innovative and offbeat this new fair « the meeting place with a new generation of Bordeaux and Sud-Ouest wines » wants to be.

One month prior to its opening, the fair’s organisors are eager to shake traditions and possibly be closer to a new generation of consumers. The Fair will showcase areas which risk destabilising the audience : billiard rooms, mini-golf tracks, not to mention « food trucks », speed tasting corners as well as blind tastings in « black rooms ».

Betting on new technologies, the fair will only be one real-life aspect of a longer, wider digitally geared strategy.

Labelling itself as a meeting hub between professionals (« for long term partnerships »), Bordeaux Vinipro’s website aspires to an active life in the interim period between 2 fairs (it will be held bi-annually, alternating with Vinexpo).
