Awarded the « Men of the Year » prize by the Revue des Vins de FranceAudrey Bourolleau and Joel Forgeau (respectively Director and President of the Vin et Société association) - far from satisfied of the success of the www. cequivavraimentsaoulerlesfranç website (300,000 visits over 4 months of which 25% came on the 1st day) – are already working on new projects.

On receiving  their prize, they announced their next battle for French Wines : the Parlementary session on a new Public Health law.

For Vin et Société, the challenge is to keep the industry’s members (ranging from the winemaker, the négociant to the sommelier or the caviste) mobilized throughout a year which will see numerous debates on Wines and Public Health.

On another note, Joel Forgeau -via a press release- regretted that the industry had not been consulted by the Parliament despite the Wine industry being an opportunity for France. He called for the setting up of a continued dialog with policymakers.

Key 2014 dates :

January : rapport sénatorial de la Mission d'Evaluation et de Contrôle de la Sécurité Sociale sur la fiscalité comportementale

February : Plan Cancer 2014-2018

May : French National Assembly : Loi de Santé Publique (Vin et Société expects a more stringent Loi Evin and a toughening of the Health warnings)

October-November : Projet de Loi de Financement de la Sécurité Sociale pour 2015.
