If French cartoon enthusiasts know well « les 3 formules du professeur Sato » the last Blake and Mortimer opus by Edgar P. Jacobs,  Sud Ouest wine lovers will soon discover the « assemblages »   by his fellow Japanese homonym, Yoichi Sato.

Teaming up with Enrico Bernardo (Year 2004’s World’s Best Sommelier and restaurant owner (Il Vino and Goust) in Paris), Yoichi Sato (Year 2005 Japan’s Best Sommelier and restaurant owner (Maxivin) in Tokyo) will on January 27 select 2 assemblages from the Saint Mont appellation. A 2012 Red vintage (Tannat, Pinenc and Cabernet Sauvignon) and a 2013 White (Arrufiac, Gros Manseng and Petit Courbu).

Organised by the « Groupement des Caves Cooperatives Plaimont Producteurs », this event will put forward two low volume wines (20,000 reds, 10,000 whites) with a high historical content : the label on each of these bottles is a strip of wood in reference to the Gers tradition of storing the bottles in Clay.
