Founded in 1892, the Yantai Changyu Pioneer Group, until now, ‘only ‘ owned 20 000 hectares of vineyard in China. As of the 16th October, the tenth largest wine and spirits group in the world has set its mark on the vineyards of Charente by buying the House of Roullet-Fransac, which was founded in 1838 in Cognac. Respresented by the Parisian law firm Bignon Lebray (who were recently involved in the sale of Château de la Commanderie in Pomerol), Changyu has become « the owner of all the stock and real estate of the House of Roullet-Fransac », starting with the Saulnier building is on the banks of the Quai des Flamands and stands next to the House of Henessy.

Georges Roullet (as pictured), the fifth generation  to head up the family company, created a range of Roullet-Fransac cognacs, mainly using XO cognac liquors (apple, raspberry...).
