s a response to a gloomy domestic market and a general adatpation to global wine-consumption trends, Inter Rhône adapts its communication strategy and business development. Indeed, if the AOC of the Rhone Valley experienced declining export sales (- 4%) in 2009 (-1% in the United States, but especially 10% in England), Inter Rhone anticipates a decline in French market in the long run (the downward trend in consumption will continue). "We expect price cuts in France, whereas there should be an increase in consumption of wine in the world, the United States, Brazil, Asia," said Christian Paly President at the last Vinisud fair. "While 70% of our communication budgets were focused on France a few years ago, today 75% is dedicated to our promotion abroad. "

On a total budget of 11 million euros for 2010, 8 million will be spent on export markets, including 2.5 in the United States (cons 1 million two years ago) and one million euros Asia, 70% in China. Inter Rhône participate for the first time next Vinexpo Hong Kong (from 25 to 27 May 2010), and at the Universal Exhibition in Shanghai (May 1 to October 31, 2010), a week of the flag of France will devoted to the Rhone Valley.
