Languedoc : Val d'Orbieu hires new executive

ertrand GIRARD has joined the steering committee of the Val d'Orbieu group, composed of Claude MARSOLAT and Bernard DEVIC. Girard, aged 45 ans, married and father of 2, graduated (MBA) at Newcastle and Oxford, before specialising in languages in Madrid and studying corporate strategy in French business school INSEAD.
He started his career at Danone's in 1990 and was then in charge of export sales and marketing in a major wine and spirits company. In 2005 he was hired by Sopexa to take care of Asian Markets, before being in charge of global markets as of 2008. Girard's new position within Val d'Orbieu will be effective by the start of the summer 2010, he will succeed current president Bernard DEVIC.
