Languedoc : Le Prieuré Saint-Jean de Bébian sold to a Russian tycoon

The Prieuré Saint-Jean de Bebian is one of the most famous estates in Languedoc Roussillon. It produces 100 000 bottles a year and exports 60 % of this production. Under the authority of Chantal Lecouty and Jean-Claude Lebrun since 1994, the wines have received very flattering points and comments from Robert Parker Jr. The couple in charge, composed of two former editors of the Revue du Vin de France, has been looking for a buyer for the estate for five years and eventually made a deal with Sinara, a Switzerland-based company owned by a Russian tycoon.
