his year, for the first time, the gastronomy contest ‘l’Accord Parfait’, started in 1999 by the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux and Cadillac Union (SPCBC), opened its doors to chefs from all over Europe and even amateurs!

The task of this 10th version of the contest is to create an original recipe using “pork, potatoes and pumpkin”, which brings out the flavours of Premières Côtes de Bordeaux and Cadillac wines. Everyone can participate by sending in his or her own recipe.

This year, the SPCBC is using chefs from the association EUROTOQUES, creeated in 1986 under a Belgian initiative, which unites 20 member countries and 4000 chefs from the European Community. You have until September 1st to register and send in your recipe. Once the best ten have been selected, students from the hotel training school in Talence will spend a week with the EUROTOQUES chefs at the end of October in order to practice the recipes. The dishes will then be presented in the final on November 17th in Bordeaux.
