n February, the Champagne Wine Board (CIVC) estimated that 14.4 million bottles of champagne were sold. 6.1% less than last year same period. This reduction is primarily due to French market sales decrease (-3.9% for wineries and - 9.9% for houses).

LVMH faces a 1% decrease of its sales of champagnes in volume, with a sharp decline in the European market, but shows strong growth in Asia. Vranken-Pommery Monopole announces an increase of 0.3% of its Champagne sales, with a decrease in France but a stronger recovery abroad.
