Expert Opinion : Anne Collard (Château Mourgues du Grès) : "ProWein is the perfect time to introduce our new vintage"
C
hateau Mourgues du Grès, in Southern France appellation of Costières de Nîmes is where the cool Mistral wind meets the sea breeze of the Mediterrean. Diversity of the range and varieties characterizes the offer of these export champions (Anne and François Collard's wines are sold in some forty countries) who will be attending Prowein, from March 27 to 29 in Düsseldorf, on the WineAlley stand.

Is this the first time you go to Prowein?
Anne Collard: "This is our second participation in a few years. The influence of the show looks great and offers a double advantage: it grants access to many professional contacts in a country that imports wines. It also opens up to Central Eastern Europe, which are very promising markets."

Do you already know the German market?

Anne Collard: "We have forged links with the German wine trade for many years.
The style of our wine is appreciated, but it's a market that is constantly evolving and highly competitive, which we must follow closely. "

What do you expect your participation in Prowein?

Anne Collard: "We hope, on the one hand, to meet our clients because it is the perfect time to introduce our new vintage.
On the other hand, we hope to make contacts to develop new markets in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine ..."

What are the benefits of your range that you intend to put forward the buyers (German and others) attending Prowein?

Anne Collard: "Our ranges of wines are reviewed and adapted to many types of markets and players.
We work every year a little more customization of our style, the fruit of our soil and our philosophy.
Our affordable pricing makes our wines for everyone.
Finally, we work closely with our importers / distributors. We accompany them and offer them a real quality of service."

What is the break down of your current turnover between domestic and export markets and to what extent do you expect the Prowein fair will enable you to develop your export sales (in the German market and elsewhere)?
Anne Collard: "Currently we sell half in France to wine shops and restaurants and from forty countries to export to the other half. Germany / Austria is our fourth market in volume and value . Europe Central and Eastern Europe remain to be conquered. "
