"The truth is the quality through which things appear as they are".
Establishing the truth about wine, is to make clear the benefits
of moderate consumption, and at the same time, show the dangers
of excessive consumption.
"The Four Truths About Wine" operation, presented in the first edition,
is issued to give to wine-makers, and all those who live off wine,
precise, reliable arguments to bring to debates. It was also created
so that the consumers would no longer be made to feel guilty, without
reason, and they would have the power to rediscover, with knowledge
of the facts, that which makes wine timeless : its taste, its role
in culture and gastronomy, its ability to create social ties and
its inseparable contribution to the French way of life.
At the start of the 21st century, it should no longer be possible
for a journalist, a doctor, a politician… to attack or defend wine
without rigorous proof. We publish "The Four Truths About Wine"
regularly to put an end to the dictates and conditions that society
imposes, to rediscover the joy of tasting and to rediscover confidence
and pride. Today, we call for the right to truth about wine based
on scientific fact.
